RM Bridge Modeler Help

Axis, plan view elements

axes in plan view are composed by elements of different types. These axis elements are defined by using the iconh at the top of the plan view window. All defined axis elements in the plan view are displayed in a list.

This list can be opened by clicking the HP Data tool in the iconrv at the right side of the program window.

RM Modeler stores plan view elements as points with an increment. Therefore, an element consists of:

  • Element type (point, line, circle, spiral)
  • Station (respectively arc length)
  • X-coordinate
  • Y-coordinate
  • Angle to the positive X-axis (mathematically positive)
  • Curvature (= 1 / radius)
  • Spiral parameter
  • Increments DS, DX, DY, DA, DK (RM: DS, DX, DZ, DA, DK)

List of plan view elements

Two lines are reserved for one axis in the list. The first line of each element shows its type and the absolute values of the starting point of this element. The second line shows the increments.

Note: The increments DX, DY in the second line are in local coordinates defined by the angle.
